Woman Rescued from volcano crater by off Duty Fire Fighter


A firefighter who was on vacation rescued woman from active volcano crater. He jumped into action to save the woman who fell down 131 feet.

According to BBC report, when the woman fell from the viewing platform, the firefighter named John Conway from Birmingham, England was trekking on Mount Batur. He helped the woman in stopping bleeding using only tissues, tapes and wet wipes before a nurse DorinaAgache, began helping him.

Firefighter Conway said, the woman was in a bad situation and was bleeding a lot and turning blue.
Other vacationer helped in getting the woman out of crater by stretcher by forming a human chain. It took around 1 hour.

Conway and Agache helped carry the woman for six hours from 5,600 down the volcano and escorted her to the hospital. The woman suffered a serious head injury, a fractured spine and fractured ribs.

Conway said It’s a miracle she survived. Even now, I am still going through the events as it was all unreal.
