Monday morning at a home located at 8 Regan Court a woman was rescued from a fire.
The Durham Fire Department responded to the two-story home at 6:30 AM with their rescue and fire equipment. The area was consumed with heavy fire across its front.
Firefighter rescued the women trapped in a second floor rear bedroom. The woman was transported to Duke Regional to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.
The fire caused heavy damage to the second floor, attic, and roof, but was under control in 20 minutes.
