The
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service intimated about the fire that occurred in a
kitchen area on the building's 14th floor.
Firefighters were tackling the blaze
at the tower block in Glasgow,
Smoke can be seen swirling out of the top floors of the flats
in Ballater Street in the Gorbals area of the city.
A spokesman for the fire service said:
“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 7.58am on Thursday, June
14 to report of a fire within a flat in Glasgow.
There were around 12 fire engines and three accident respond
teams at the scene of the fire. Operations Control mobilized emergency and safety products and other resources to the scene at Commercial Court
where crew was already present.
