San Jose firefighters battling blaze at Almaden Valley home



A brush fire took place at a landfill near Almaden Quicksilver Park and extended to neighboring homes in South San Jose. The blaze occurred on Sunday that was efficiently responded by firefighters.

By the evening at 4 when the fire started destroying some of the vegetation in the area of Hicks Road, the San Jose fire department reached the spot with their Fire Safety & Fire Protection Equipment, said the fire officials.

Officials also said that the fire erupted at the Waste Management Rubbish Disposal facility at 15999 Guadalupe Mines Road, which was later contained.

However, no further details could be fetched; an investigation is under process to detect the cause of the fire.
