Tesla belonging to Actor catches flames in traffic
The
National Transportation Safety Board said Monday that it has sent an
expert to examine the Tesla electric sedan belonging to the family of a
prominent TV actress that caught fire "out of the blue."
Actor
Mary McCormack has shared an incident of her husband's Tesla car shooting
flames while in Southern California traffic Sheriff's Lt. William Nash in West Hollywood said Saturday that
deputies saw smoke coming from the electric vehicle and then fire. Nash said
the driver, who was not named in a log entry, was actually out of the car. There
were no injuries reported. The probability of a faulty battery was cited by the
log entry.
Deputies
requested help from firefighters who quickly suppressed the flames protective safety equipment.
