Firefighter Rescued After Getting Trapped at House Fire


A fire in Mount Ephraim broke out around 5:30 a.m. Monday inside a southern New Jersey home. Authorities say a firefighter became trapped inside while battling the blaze and had to be rescued by his colleagues.

He was trapped inside the home before he was brought to safety. Luckily, the firefighter was not seriously injured but as a precaution, he was being evaluated.

The name of the firefighter hasn't been disclosed. No other injuries have been reported in the fire. An investigation is under process to detect the cause of the fire.
