National Guard Reinforcements along with the Air National Guardsmen prepare to deploy their personnel at Garner Complex to southwest Oregon to help fight the Garner Complex fire.
The 147-member crew has trained for a situation like this so the group will head out later this week, according to an Oregon Department of Forestry news release.
The 8,886-acre fire has forced about 1,000 people to evacuate their homes. Containment is now at 65 percent.
Guard are preparing to travel to the Grave fires, part of the Garner Complex to serve their state in its time of need and assist the struggling partners.
