Firefighters rescued a man shouting for help from the second
floor of a burning apartment building in St. Louis early Monday morning. The
5900 block of Ridge Avenue in the city's Hamilton Heights neighborhood caught
blaze before 5 a.m.
The victim was
being checked out by emergency medical technicians to figure out any injury after
he was plucked from the building, said the Fire Department. Firefighters
battled the blaze in their bunker gear where one of the firefighters suffered a knee injury.
