A chemical fire caused injury to two employees



A fire incident was recorded in Monroe where two employees were injured during a chemical fire at a business in Monroe on Monday. According to the Monroe Fire Department, crews responded to Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Inc. around 2:20 p.m.
They found that a chemical fire was extinguished.
Two employees were injured during the fire and brought to a local hospital by ambulance; there is no information about their injuries though.

Authorities say a chemical fire at a research lab in Connecticut injured two lab employees.
The fire was reported Monday at Axel Plastics Research Laboratories in Monroe. A sprinkler system as Fire Safety Equipment extinguished the flames before firefighters arrived.
The injured employees’ current conditions are unclear. The cause of the fire is under investigation undertaken by the fire marshal's office and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
